One of the world's leading offshore brake parts makers, Neotek Corp. Inc., will leave Arlington for Memphis early next year.
Neotek, which is currently at 11474 Gulf Stream Road in Arlington, has leased 90,000 square feet in the 179,000-square-foot Building L warehouse in the Southpark Distribution Center at 4500 E. Shelby Drive, east of Memphis International Airport.
Neotek's new landlord – Dallas, Texas-based Hillwood Investment Properties – has hired Grinder Taber & Grinder Inc. and Denton Architecture to renovate the facility for Neotek for nearly $210,000, according to a public building permit.
The company is slated to occupy the space in early 2015.
Neotek president David Wilhite didn't immediately return an email or call seeking comment.
The brake parts maker won't be alone in the building. Tokyo-based information technology company Fujitsu Ltd. just expanded its 55,000-square-foot lease to take up the building's remaining 34,000 square feet.
Tim Mashburn of Colliers International's Memphis office represented Hillwood in both of those negotiations. Glen Bascom of Bascom Realty represented Neotek and Patrick Burke of CBRE Memphis represented Fujitsu.
