Take a tour: Church Health Center shows off progress at Crosstown Concourse (Video)
Officials with the Church Health Center gave a tour of the ongoing build out at the Crosstown Concourse last week, and while there remains much work to do, the massive renovation project is progressing as hoped.
The Memphis Church Health Center is one of the most prominent early tenants for the Crosstown Concourse project. Several other organizations, including ALSAC/St.Jude, Crosstown Arts, Gestalt Community Schools, Memphis Teacher Residency and Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, are also planning on moving into the massive Midtown building when it's completed.
The building is currently 1.5 million square feet, but once the remodel is finished it will be down to 1.1 million square feet. The new Crosstown will house restaurants, retail space, a small grocery store, fitness center, health clinics, a charter high school, art center, commercial offices and apartments.
Grinder, Taber & Grinder Inc. is the general contractor for the project, and in June, Cushman & Wakefield/Commercial Advisors became the building's property manager.
