Grinder, Taber & Grinder, Inc. is a full service commercial and industrial construction firm, which is in its fifth decade of continuous operations in the Memphis area.  The company provides building, construction management, cost estimating, and design / build services.

The firm was founded in 1968 by Edward I. Grinder, Harold Taber, and Irven E. Grinder, and has remained a closely held, family run enterprise ever since, growing to its current size of 75 employees.

Over the course of its history, Grinder, Taber & Grinder has built a number of the city’s notable facilities:  Crosstown Concourse, Rhodes College, Fed Ex World Headquarters Building I, First Tennessee Headquarters, Orgill World Headquarters, Christian Brothers University, Presbyterian Day School, Orpheum Center for Performing Arts, Lexus of Memphis, and Second Presbyterian Church.

Although the complex projects the company has completed are noteworthy, Grinder, Taber & Grinder takes its greatest pride in the client relationships built during their construction.  By focusing on making the construction process as simple as possible, solving problems immediately with a family management team, and consistently honoring its commitments, the company has generated a wealth of repeat customers who are comfortable doing business on a handshake.

The company is wholly owned by the following three principals and has no outside investors:

Fred Grinder, President
Brett Grinder, Vice President
Justin Grinder, Vice President
