Construction: 'Interior renovation' planned for FedEx facility

A seven-figure building permit was filed for the largest Memphis-based public company.

The permit, valued at $1.2 million, was submitted for “Federal Express” June 6. The permit address was for the FedEx World Headquarters at 3670 Hacks Cross 

Grinder, Taber & Grinder Inc. was listed as the contractor, and The Crump Firm was listed as the architect. Under the permit’s description, it simply said, “interior renovation.”

FedEx did not provide additional details by the time of publication.

FedEx Corp. has more than 400,000 employees across the globe and delivers roughly 13 million shipments per business day across 220 countries and territories. In fiscal year 2016, the company reported $50.4 billion in annual revenue.
